Compatibility
All of your previously saved files from the RugbySlate Animator version 1 will be able to be loaded into version 2 so you can continue to edit and update them. Sadly save files from version 2 will not be able to be edited in version 1.
Editable Player Size
Due to popular demand, the players can now be scaled to better fit your animations. Head over to the “Edit Layout” menu and simply select the player size you want; small, medium or large.
Player Letters
Another requested update is that all players can now have letters instead of just numbers to identify them. Simply add a new player or edit an existing one and enter any two letters into the text box.
More Field Options
You can now change the background pitch type from Rugby Union, to Rugby League, or a grid layout to help you quickly design drills. This is found in the “Edit Layout” menu; to edit the location and zoom level of the field navigate to the “Edit Layout” menu and then head to “Edit Field”.
More Drawing Shapes and Animated Text
The drawing tab has been updated to include new options such as adding circles and blocking lines. The biggest upgrade is that text can be added, edited and animated just like any other item. Add the text by navigating to the “Draw” tab, then select “Text”. This can now be moved by dragging; animated by putting it in place at different keyframes; and edited/deleted by double clicking.
Multiple Code Upgrades
A lot of work has gone into upgrading the behind the scenes skeleton of the RugbySlate Animator so it will now work faster and more reliably. Additionally the speed at which animations render has also increased, meaning you can spend more time creating and less time waiting!
