The animator is of a fixed pixel size and therefore on smaller screens there can be issues. You should be able to zoom out using your browser and still use the browser. If you are attempting to use the tool on a mobile device, please see the FAQ below.
You may struggle to use the RugbySlate animator with a touchscreen device as it will specifically designed for use with a mouse. However there are no software limitations stopping you from using a touchscreen device. When you export the animation there may be further problems as the device might struggle to record the animation. It is strongly suggested that a computer using Google Chrome is used to export the animation as it will give the best results. A mobile app version of the RugbySlate Animator may be developed in the near future so please follow RugbySlate on social media to keep up to date.
Firstly, it is strongly suggested that a computer using Google Chrome is used to export the animation as it will give the best results. If issues still persist, then this may be a limitation of your computer. To work around this issues, you may find better results using a screen recorder to directly capture the animation.
Once you have completed you animation and exported it, the .MP4 should download directly to your computer. You can share this in any way you typically would share files (email, WhatsApp, Google Drive, etc). What some people may find better is converting their animations to GIFs as these may be more user friendly to share. Hint - Google Docs allows users to directly drop GIFs into it and can be a very good way of building a sharable, animated playbook
This is a known issue for us and we are working hard to find a more permanent fix. The issue is that your browser does not support the feature required to create the animation. It is recommended that you use Google Chrome to export your animation. If you are using Safari, there is an option to turn on the feature needed. Please follow the steps below for a temporary fix: 1. Go to Safari → Preferences → Advanced. 2. Enable the option to “Show Develop menu in menu bar” at the bottom. 3. Go to Develop → Experimental Features. 4. Enable MediaRecorder.
